I saw my daddy in my dreams. He was trying to drop me home and he was so tired and sleepy. He dropped me in front of the house, tried to get out of car, I saw my daddy and felt he’s about to faint so I tried to put his arms around my neck but my daddy fell bum first and on the road.. I dragged him inside the house while shouting for help and my ex boyfriend’s father helped me bring him inside the house. After sometime, I see my daddy sitting on a chair and talking to my mom, I rush to my daddy to clean his hairs and back as he would have got dirty after he fell on the road. I was cleaning his sweat behind his ears and saw my daddy crying.. I kept wiping his tears and I was crying too.. I heard him say, “you didn’t try hard” and then he stopped crying while looking into my eyes and smiled at me saying “you are too weak, I can’t”, then I woke up from my dream. My father had passed away in 2018. I see him in my dreams. Why?
Dreams about deceased loved ones, especially parents, can be deeply emotional and often reflect unresolved feelings, thoughts, or the desire for connection. In your dream, the imagery of your father being tired and fainting suggests a sense of concern about his well-being, which may symbolize your own feelings of loss and longing for care or guidance from him.
Here's a breakdown of some of the elements:
Concern for His Well-being: Your father appearing tired and in need of help may reflect feelings of guilt or responsibility associated with his passing. This can indicate a desire to protect him or prove yourself capable of handling difficult situations.
Your Actions of Caring: Dragging him into the house, cleaning him, and wiping away his tears indicates a strong desire to nurture and care for him, suggesting that you miss those moments of affection and attention from him while he was alive. This could also symbolize your yearning for a parental figure during difficult times in your life.
His Words: The phrase “you didn’t try hard” could be reflective of unresolved feelings you might have regarding your relationship with him, feelings of inadequacy, or perhaps an internal dialogue questioning your own efforts in life since his passing. It may also represent an emotional challenge that you feel you are facing in your life when you wonder if he would be proud of you.
Your Emotions: Your shared tears in the dream signify a deep connection that you still have with him, indicating that while he is not physically present, your emotional bond remains strong. This also may express your ongoing grief and the impact of his absence in your life.
Symbolic Role of the Ex-Boyfriend’s Father: His appearance might suggest comfort or support from unexpected sources in your life. It could reflect your feelings of seeking help from others during your times of distress.
Ultimately, dreams where we see deceased loved ones can serve as a way for your subconscious to process feelings of grief, longing, or unresolved issues. They may also provide a way for you to remember cherished moments and the lasting impact those individuals have had on your life. It's natural to continue dreaming about someone who was a significant presence in your life, especially in times of emotional turbulence.
